Notre Dame Campus Housing

If you are planning to go to Notre Dame and you are looking for housing, there are some options you should know about. Notre Dame has recently constructed four new air conditioned residence halls (out of 27 total). Each room can be either single or double occupancy and includes a sink. Rooms do share a shower and toilet with the adjacent room. Linen services for towels and bed sheets are provided, but washcloths are not, and calling card accessible phones are available in the residence hall lobbies. Each room is wired with Res Net, the university’s high-speed internet network. If you choose to reside in the residence halls, you must also pick one of the three meal packages. If you arrive late or leave early, there will be no proration in fees.

With three different rate plans that include meals, and 27 residence halls to choose from, it is very important to make sure that you reserve your space right away. Spaces are on a first come first served basis and they fill up fast. You can fill out your residence hall application online, but be sure to pay attention to deadlines so that you return your application and deposit on time to save your spot. The newest residence to be built will be Duncan Hall, which boasts single, double, and triple quad-style rooms, with personal bathrooms and bay windows. They have also instituted a ladder system; this means you start with a small room during your freshman year. The longer you stay in this residence hall, the larger and better your room will get.
