The Education System at Notre Dame

The education of teachers has long been a tradition at Notre Dame University. The students can be licensed to teach in special education, early childhood, middle childhood, multi-age education and also for the adolescent and young adult.
Classrooms are changed one teacher at a time with the education of excellent teachers to educate their students. The students will learn to use many different teaching strategies and work to effectively with students of all learning styles and cultural backgrounds. They also learn how to talk to the parents and explain what the students are working on in their classrooms.
Twelve hours of student teaching is required to graduate with a bachelor’s degree at the university. The education at Notre Dame has small classrooms to give a greater learning environment to all it's students. The subjects of writing, speaking and research skills are very important and learned here.
The students may participate for a semester at one of the other institutions to earn credits toward their degree. By doing this they will learn about different cultures and how other people live. One hundred twenty eight credit hours are required to complete a bachelor’s degree.
All of the students are required to take twenty fours of liberal arts courses such as scientific inquiry, social sciences and cultures and values as well as other subjects. Twenty semester hours are required in English, Computers, math, public speaking and a also a foreign language. All of the students that want to graduate must receive at least a C in all their courses.
