Going to the Notre Dame-Stanford football game Sister Connie Tarallo sang the fight song as she has been doing for about the last fifteen years. Sister Connie Tarallo teaches first graders at St. Ann Catholic School and all of her children know the song and sing along with her.

Sister Connie was surprised with a paid trip to the game given to her by a group of Notre Dame alumni. Sister Connie is a Sister of Charity of Nazareth nun and one of the Fighting Irish’s biggest fans.

The University hosted scientists, engineers, and the national and state leaders to discuss an energy policy. All the guests stayed on campus at Mckenna Hall. They talked about developing new technologies as well as improving all the old technologies. Many topics will be covered from basic research to the security of the environment.

The National Park Service will form a partnership program with the Notre Dame Energy Center. Three students that are undergraduates at the university will work with the park service to conduct research to make improvements at the Indiana Dunes facilities. The students are looking forward to this great opportunity for practice and training in what they are learning at the university.

A few of the projects the students will complete will be the designs for a grass roof system for building 110, and to take energy audits of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore buildings. The students will be funded for the projects as well as any equipment purchases to complete the projects.
